Goldberg 和Paul Kay 等人提出 构式语法 理论已引起语言学界广法的兴 趣与重视,但是有一个问题必须解释清楚,那就是: 为什么相同的词类序列、相同的词语、相同的构造 层次, 而且相同的内部语法结构关系, 甚至用传统的眼光来看还是相同的语义结构关系却还会造成不同的 句式,表示不同的句式意义? 本文试图用 词语句法、语义的多功能性 理论来加以解释. 关键词:构式语法理论;

词语的语义多功能性 Dynamics of Syntax and Semantics of Words and Phrases: An Interpretation of the Construction Grammar Approach LU Jian-ming (Department of Chinese/ the Center for Chinese Linguistics, Beijing 100089, China) Abstract: The Construction Grammar approach, originally developed by C. J. Fillmore, A. E. Goldberg and Paul Kay, has aroused wide interests and great emphasis in the field of linguistics. However, within the framework of Construction Grammar, one question must be answered clearly, i.e. why do so many structures have different construction meanings, even though they have the same word order, the same words, the same structure, the same grammatical relations, and, from a traditional point of view, the same semantic relations? In order to account for the phenomenon, this article adopts a theory of Dynamics of Syntax and Semantics of Words and Phrases . Key words: Construction Grammar;

dynamics of semantics of words 1. 从Goldberg 等的 构式语法 (construction grammar)说起 根据 C. J. Fillmore(1982)的框架语义学 (Frame Semantics) ,C. J. Fillmore(1990) 、 Adele E. Goldberg(1995)和Paul Kay(1995) 提出了 构式语法 (Construction Grammar) 的理论观点,其基本观点是: 假如说,C 是一 个独立的构式,当且仅当 C 是一个形式(Fi) 和意义(Si)的对应体,而无论是形式或意义 的某些特征, 都不能完全从 C 这个构式的组成 成分或另外的先前已有的构式推知. (Adele E. Goldberg,1995,2003)Goldberg 所说的构式范围比较广,不仅包括一般所说的 句式,也包括成语、复合词、语素等.从句式 这个平面说,按Goldberg 的构式语法理论,句 式有独立的语义,因此一个句子的意义,并不 能只根据组成句子的词语的意义、词语之间的 结构关系或另外的先前已有的句式所能推知,

16 句式本身也表示独立的意义,并将影响句子的 意思.construction grammar,国内也有人译为 句式语法 、 架构语法 、 框架语法 、 构块式语法 等. 构式语法 是根据北京 语言大学司富珍博士的提议而采用的. 上面说了,构式语法理论是根据 Fillmore 的框架语义学的理论思想形成的.Fillmore 用 框架 这个词涵盖了诸如 图式 (schema) 、 脚本 (script) 、 情景 (scenario) 、 观念 框架 (ideational scaffolding) 、 认知模式 (cognitive model) 、 民俗理论 (folk theory) 等概念.显然, 构式语法 理论是以认知语 言学为理论背景的. 构式有独立的语义,虽然前人也早已注意 到了 ― ― 王力先生早在上个世纪
