17 Abstract This paper focused on the differences between the English majors and Non-English majors in using English vocabulary learning strategies. There are four parts in the paper. The first part begins with the brief introduction to the state of this field. The second part concerns the description of the research methods. The third part is the main body of the paper with the date analysis and results. The last part is the conclusion of the results. The results indicate that, as to vocabulary learning strategies, some strategies like Regulation Strategy, Encoding Strategy and Activation Strategy are more frequent used by English majors than Non-English majors. While strategies like Rehearsal Strategy is very welcomed and widely used by Non-English majors. Furthermore, we find in this paper that English majors are more objective while Non-English majors are more subjective when they choose to use English vocabulary learning strategies. At the end of the paper, the study concluded an effective English vocabulary learning strategy that is to the benefit of both English majors and Non-English majors. Cooperation 摘要 本篇论文以问卷调查的形式,研究了英语专业与非英语专业在英语词汇学习策略运用上的不同.研究结果表明英语词汇学习策略在英语专业和非英语专业学生中得到较为广泛的运用但在使用中存在明显的差别.首先,非英语专业学生相对于英语专业学生来说使用重复策略更为频繁.其次,英语专业学生在编码策略,管理策略以及活用策略的使用上比非英语专业更为活跃和主动.论文随后从课程设置和学习态度两方面分析了这些差异产生的原因.最后,论文基于这些差异和原因提出了合作学习这一既有利于英语专业学生也有利于非英语专业学生的词汇学习策略. 关键词:英语词汇学习策略差异 英语专业 非英语专业 合作学习 Introduction 1.1 literature review Without grammar very little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed .the famous linguistic D.A.Willkins said.
