2 课程名称:高级蠕虫学 英文名称: Advanced Helminthology 教学方式:讲授与实验 Lecture and Experiment 考试方式:笔试和综述 Written examination and integration 内容提要: 概述寄生蠕虫和蠕虫病的定义和范围,介绍与人类健康和重要经济动植物有关的寄生性蠕虫的分类学、生物学、生态学和流行病学.重点介绍寄生蠕虫与宿主的相互作用关系以及生物化学、分子生物学和免疫学等在寄生蠕虫学领域中的应用及取得的进展.概要阐述有关寄生蠕虫和蠕虫病的诊断技术和防治措施等. Course Synopsis The course of Advanced Helminthology covering all aspects of pure and applied helminthology, including the parasitic groups, pathogenic biology, host specificity, epidemiology, ecology, and biochemical and molecular parasitology, and ranging from the latest discoveries in host-parasite relationships of intrinsic biological interest to those of environmental health, social and economic importance in human and veterinary medicine and agriculture. The course covers helminths in wildlife hosts, including plant and insect parasites are also included. Particular emphasis is given to the epidemiology, Diagnosis, Chemotherapy and Control of Parasitic Diseases, prevention and control of infectious diseases, vaccine studies, statistics and the clinical, social and public-health aspects of infectious disease. The goal of the course is to present some of the biological concepts that govern host-parasite interactions. Much of what we know about these interactions has been learned through studies carried out on disease agents of man and his domestic plants and animals. What students must keep in mind is that parasites do not exist for the purpose of producing disease but rather because they have mastered the complex problems of reproducing their own kind and completing their life cycles. Students should keep their eyes on how the parasites have become anatomically adapted to do this from free living ancestors;
