――修改了章节结构,标准分为 稀土一般术语、稀土矿产品和富集物、稀土金属及其化合物、稀土合金、稀土功能材料、稀土应用产品、稀土生产工艺、稀土可回收物料 8个部分,代替原标准 稀土一般术语、稀土矿产品和富集物、稀土铁合金和铸铁、稀土产品、稀土应用产品、生产工艺、分析检验和稀土其他方面常用的名词术语定义 的8个部分;

――将原标准的 稀土铁合金和铸铁 章节分别移入 稀土合金 与 稀土应用产品 章节,将原标准的 稀土产品 章节细化为 稀土金属及其化合物 与 稀土功能材料 章节;

――增加了稀土功能材料章节,按类别给出了稀土永磁材料、稀土储氢材料、稀土抛光材料、稀土发光材料等相关术语(见6.1~6.16);

――增加了稀土可回收物料章节,按类别给出了稀土废液、废气、废渣等相关术语(见9.1~9.4);

――删除了原标准的 分析检验常用的术语和定义 章节(见1995年版的第8章);

――删除了原标准的 稀土其他方面术语和定义 (见1995年版的第9章);

In comparison with GB/T 15676-1995, in addition to some editorial revises, this standard makes main technical changes as follows: ――Revised the English name of the standard from Terms for rare earths to Rare earth―Terms and definations ;

――Modified the structure of chapters. The standard consists of

8 chapters including Rare earth general terms, Rare earth minerals and concentrates, Rare earth metals and compounds, Rare earth alloys, Rare earth functional materials, Rare earth application products, Rare earth production process, Rare earth recyclable materials , instead of the original standard covering Rare earth general terms, Rare earth minerals and concentrates, Rare earth ferroalloy and cast-iron, Rare earth products, Rare earth application products, Rare earth production process, Analysis and inspection, and other rare earth common-used terms and definition ;

――Moved chapter of Rare earth ferroalloy and cast-iron into chapter Rare earth alloy and Rare earth application products ;
