30 subsidiaries and more than

50 international sales partners, and the company employs more than 2,500 people around the globe. Messe Frankfurt has a presence in

188 countries and regions for its customers, and its wide range of events take place at around

50 locations around the world. In 2018, the Group organised a total of

148 trade fairs, of which more than half were held outside Germany. Frankfurt has been a renowned trade fair site for more than

800 years. In the past, traders and business people would meet at the R?mer town hall, and later congregated at the new grounds by the Festhalle. Today, the Frankfurt exhibition grounds are among the largest and most modern in the world, with 592,127 square metres in total area,

11 halls and two congress centres. Messe Frankfurt is a publicly owned company. The City of Frankfurt owns

60 percent, while the State of Hesse holds
