2 1 Introduction Bosch Recording Station version 8.8.1 is a bugfix release which also includes new features like PTZ control of HD domes.

2 New software features 2.1 Support of AutoDome Junior HD and AutoDome

800 Series HD Version 8.8.1 supports PTZ control and prepositions of AutoDome Junior HD and AutoDome

800 Series HD cameras. To control these cameras, in Configuration/Dome settings window, select Connection type Bilinx/IP Domes. Note: AUX commands do not work with IP HD domes. 2.2 Support of Bilinx on encoder (VIP-X1600-XFM4B, VIP-X1XF) Version 8.8.1 supports Bilinx on encoder. To control PTZ cameras connected to an encoder, in Configuration/Dome settings window, select Connection type Bilinx/IP Domes.

3 Fixed bugs and fixed customer complaints 3.1 Jittering live images of HD cameras Version 8.8.1 supports now 1080p decoding without jittering live images of HD cameras. 3.2 Crash of VCSModule Deadlock in VCSModule led to increase of memory and a following crash of the VCSModule. This bug is now fixed. 3.3 Hotfixes for VCSModule Hotfixes for VCSModule, developed for DiBos 8.7, are also integrated in BRS version 8.8.1 (connectivity, relay handling of VideoJet X devices, extended logging in JobServer). 3.4 Crash after log file cleanup A log file cleanup could lead to a crash of different BRS modules. This bug is now fixed. 3.5 Crash of VSDKPluginModule Under certain circumstances VSDKPluginModule crashed when reading motion data. This bug is now fixed. 2 3.6 Smart search with HD cameras Smart search was not possible for HD cameras. This bug is now fixed. Note: Motion+ must be configured to use smart search. 3.7 Prepositions of HD AutoDomes could not be called after a while After some time the configured prepositions could not be called. No PTZ was possible. This bug is now fixed. 3.8 Axis cameras were not displayed when starting BRS When starting Bosch Recording Station the AxisProxy interface stopped responding sometimes. This bug is now fixed. 3.9 Motion was not displayed in live image Some cameras with H.264 did not display motion in live image. This bug is now fixed. Note: Motion+ must be configured to display motion. 3.10 A network scan did not find some camera types The following cameras were added to Bosch Recording Station v8.8.1: ? AutoDome Junior HD ? AutoDome Junior HD IVA ? VG5 AutoDome HD ? NBN-921-P ? NDC-265-P ? NBC-265-P ? VOT-320V ? NDN-921-P These cameras are now found on a network scan. 3.11 IP cameras were not displayed on limited Windows user The VCSModule did not display IP cameras if BRS application was started with limited Windows user instead of Administrator. This bug is now fixed. Administrator rights are no longer necessary. 3.12 Pop-up window in case of not valid license In version 8.8.1 a window appears in the following cases: ? More cameras are configured than licensed. ? License is not valid anymore (demo license expired or computer signature has changed).
