5311 The Chinese Government approves Beijing Haidian Beibu Gas-fired Cogeneration Project as a Clean Development Mechanism project, with the following remarks: 1. China approved the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change on

30 August 2002, and is a Party to the Kyoto Protocol. 2. Beijing Haidian Beibu Gas-fired Cogeneration Project complies with the permission requirements provided for in the Measures for Operation and Management of Clean Development Mechanism Project in China, and assists China in achieving sustainable development. 3. Beijing Shangzhuang Gas-fired Thermal Power Co., Ltd. is hereby authorized as China's participant to voluntarily participate in and carry out the project activity. 4. Beijing Shangzhuang Gas-fired Thermal Power Co., Ltd. is permitted to transfer all CERs generated by this project into China's national account in the CDM registry, and these CERs can only be transferred to other account if the buyer is determined, with the consent of China's Designated National Authority for CDM.
