Do you know what Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) is? SSSI refers to areas with special features relating to animal/ plant life, geology or geography. The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) has started to identify these sites since
1975 in Hong Kong. However, SSSI is not unfamiliar to some people at this moment. Some have a mistaken notion that these sites are prohibited from access. In order to promote SSSI and make clarifications on that, we will establish a page on social media to introduce the information on different SSSI site. We planned to visit
20 SSSI sites and capture the experience with words and pictures, so as to raise public awareness. 如有任何查询,请电邮至[email protected] This project is organized by the listed participants of "One Planet Youth Leadership Training Programme 2018-19", in which WWF-Hong Kong provides technical and financial support.
