A A study of thousands of men and women showed that those who like a vegetarian diet have higher IQs than those who often eat meat. It isn't clear why veggies are wiser, but fruit and vegetables are good for brain power. The British researchers, from the University of Southampton, have spent
20 years researching into more than 8,000 volunteers. They found that if people were vegetarians by the age of 30, they had much higher IQ. Further analysis of the results showed those children who were the cleverest were more likely to become vegetarians when they grew up. The typical adult veggies had a childhood IQ of around 105-about five points higher than those who continued to eat meat as they grew up. The vegetarians were also more likely to get good scores and high- powered jobs. However, these differences were not shown in their yearly income. There was no difference in IQs between strict vegetarians and those who thought of themselves as veggies but still ate fish or chicken. However, those who didn't like milk products scored lower, only
95 at the age of five. Eating fruits and vegetables is good for our brains. (1) If you are a strict vegetarian , you will have a high income.
