电话: 400-6721-600 Human EpCAM/CD326 ELISA Kit DESCREPTION Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM), also known as CD326, is a transmembrane glycoprotein mediating Ca2+ -independent homotypic cell-cell adhesion in epithelia. EpCAM is also involved in cell signaling, migration, proliferation, and differentiation. Additionally, EpCAM has oncogenic potential via its capacity to upregulate c-myc, e-fabp, and cyclins A &

E. Since EpCAM is expressed exclusively in epithelia and epithelial-derived neoplasms, EpCAM can be used as diagnostic marker for various cancers. It appears to play a role in tumorigenesis and metastasis of carcinomas, so it can also act as a potential prognostic marker and as a potential target for immunotherapeutic strategies. PRINCIPLE OF THE ASSAY This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific for human EpCAM has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standard, samples and HRP-linked detect antibody specific for EpCAM are pipetted into the wells and EpCAM present is bound by the immobilized antibody and detect antibody following incubation. After washing, substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of EpCAM bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. LIMITATIONS OF THE KIT FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY. NOT FOR USE IN DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES. The kit should not be used beyond the expiration date on the kit label. Do not mix or substitute reagents with those from other lots or sources. If samples generate values higher than the highest standard, dilute the samples with Assay Buffer and repeat the assay. If cell culture supernate samples require large dilution, perform an intermediate dilution in culture medium. Any variation in standard dilution, operator, pipetting technique, washing techniques, incubation time or temperature, and kit age can cause variation in binding. This assay is designed to eliminate interference by factors present in biological samples.
