60 Master of Fine Arts in Cinema Production 电影制作艺术硕士 AIMS This is an innovative programme providing opportunities for graduates of cinema production courses, or similar, and experienced practitioners to broaden, and renew their prior production knowledge and experience.

The programme enables and encourages participants to explore the operational and aesthetic breadth of contemporary creative cinema production, including digital technologies. Students explore the collaborative nature of contemporary cinema production and experience how each specialised role enriches the complex art of cinema production, by collectively developing a project, from initial concept to screen. Upon completion of the programme, students will be equipped and prepared to develop and produce or participate on feature cinema projects. 23 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Applicants should possess : (i) Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) degree in Film and Television from the Academy;

or undergraduate degree in relevant discipline from a recognised institution;

or another qualification of equivalent standard from the Academy or from another recognised institution;

and (ii) Final year grade of B (3.0) or above in the undergraduate degree Major Study or equivalent;

and, (iii) Band 5.5 or above in IELTS. For applicants who cannot demonstrate achievement in the IELTS test, the Academy English admission tests will be considered an acceptable alternative. All shortlisted applicants are required to sit the Academy English admission tests comprised of a 30-minute written test, a spoken assessment, and a set of computer- based multiple choice questions testing grammar, vocabulary usage, and listening ability. Based on the results of these tests the applicant may be required to take the Intensive English Enhancement Course as a condition of their acceptance. The Academy will also consider applicants with professional experience who have not obtained the normal admission quali?cations. For alternative admission requirements, please refer to page 57.
