489 C An Easy Access to Global Trade Barcode Number Allocation Flow 1. Allocation of GS1 Pre?x After application, members will obtain a GS1 company pre?x assigned by GS1 Hong Kong. Members can then add the product code and identi?er after the pre?x. 2. Allocation of number Product Code: Members can use the product and location information portal of BarcodePlus to allocate products and equipments an individual code. 3. Data registration According to the Commodity Basic Information , all products are required to be described in details and registered onto the website of BarcodePlus after a barcode is assigned. 4.
