1297、1240及1362名中学生辍学,当中有一成来自主要录取升中派位第一组别学生的中学,甚至有名校学生和资优生.尽管该批学生在小学阶段成绩优异,但升中后却因各种原因无法适应中学学习而最终辍学.有关报道亦指出,升读中学是学生变成隐蔽青年的高危期,辍学的时间越长,变成隐蔽青年的机会越大.就此,政府可否告知本会:

(一)有否评估教育统筹局及政府资助的非牟利机构为辍学学生提供的支援的成效,以及有关的支援是否足够;

若有评估,结果为何;

及

(二)当局会否考虑增拨资源,协助本港中学及早t解学生缺课的原因、识别有学习困难的学生、为他们提供额外辅导服务、教育家长及老师处理有关问题的正确方法,以及鼓励家长求助,以免学生面对的问题因延误处理而恶化,最终导致他们辍学和变成隐蔽青年?(4) Hon Abraham SHEK (Written Reply) It has been reported that there were
