Professional Experience Sharing Month Learning and Teaching Effectiveness Background The Teachers'
Professional Experience Sharing Month (Sharing Month) is jointly organized by the Education and Manpower Bureau and other educational bodies/schemes*.
It is funded by Quality Education Fund, District Teacher Network Scheme and Subject-related Organizations Scheme. Through cohering the strengths of Hong Kong'
s educational bodies to promote quality teaching experience, the Sharing Month aims to facilitate the sharing of valuable experiences and success stories among teachers with a view to improving the effectiveness of learning and teaching. Details 2. With Learning and Teaching Effectiveness as the main theme, the Sharing Month consists of a series of sharing activities on four Saturdays, viz. 1, 8,
22 and
29 March
2003 at different venues. There will be four sub-themes for the four days'
activities and they are respectively '
Innovative Curriculum and Assessment'
, '
Classroom Learning'
, '
Four Key Tasks of Curriculum Reform'
and '
Life-wide Learning and Multiple Intelligences'
. The co-organizing educational bodies/schemes have selected over one hundred projects of quality teaching experience and invited professionals to share their experiences and achievements in teaching. Activities of the Sharing Month will include seminars, experience sharing sessions, talks, lesson demonstrations and open forums, etc. In order to help teachers better understand and get the essence of these valuable experiences, we have invited experts to give commentary on the sharing. It is hoped that these comments will further raise the level of experience exchange and the professional knowledge of teachers. 3. A launching ceremony will be held on
1 March
