Chairman, National Performing Arts Center 2戏曲大师裴艳玲《寻源问道》 Arts of Chinese Traditional Opera 3戏曲大师裴艳玲《寻源问道》 Arts of Chinese Traditional Opera 《洪洋洞》是京剧老生的「高级戏」.由於「二黄」的行腔不似「西皮」激昂且板式变化强烈, 剧中杨延昭病入膏肓,几乎没有身段,可以说演员於唱於作,都难以「炫技」,必须在平淡中表现冲 突,而这里的冲突又非戏剧性的冲突,而是在绝望地「反抗死亡」.裴艳玲将示把死亡唱得「绝无冷 场」,同时又不致让观众觉得角色「太有气力,死不了」. 导演、制作群、演员介绍 裴艳玲 1947年生於河北.本名裴信,从艺后取名裴艳玲.以京剧老生开蒙,先后师从李崇帅、崔盛斌、郭 景春、侯永奎、李少春等;
是跨足京剧、梆子、曲,文武乱不挡的全方位艺术家,中国文艺奖、文 华奖、梅花大奖、白玉兰特殊贡献奖得主. 父亲裴元为京剧武生,继母袁喜珍为著名河北梆子旦角演员,从小在草台班子玩耍长大,5岁救场演 出《金水桥》秦英一角,崭露天分;
7岁拜李崇帅为师,以京剧老生开蒙,兼习武生;
9岁起在山东乐陵 县等京剧团挑梁,每月工资高达800元人民币. 1959年,河北省政府为了扶植地方剧种,将裴艳玲调往河北梆子青年跃进剧团,三十多年间,以女 武生形象走红,带起河北梆子盛况;
1997年,河北省京剧院裴艳玲剧团成立,重返京剧圈;
2004年,出 任河北省京剧院院长,潜心钻研余派老生唱腔,近年并发表《响九霄》、《赵佗》等新编戏. 丹麦欧丁剧场导演尤金尼奥.芭芭Eugenio Barba曾说:「我们很爱裴艳玲,对我来说,中国就是裴艳 玲」;

Director's Statement What is the origin of Chinese traditional theater? Where does its path lead to? In answering the questions, PEI Yan-ling, master of Chinese traditional theater, presents four famous traditional excerpts featuring martial classics in Kunqu Opera. With no stage make-up, costumes or sets, she gives the most honest reveal of how she interprets the iconic roles of LIN Chong, SHI Xiu, Nazha and WU Cong. In addition, she also presents Hongyangdong, a piece highlighting the artist's singing skills and capability the most in Peking Opera. Combining the essences of both Kunqu Opera and Peking Opera, PEI Yan-ling will lead the audiences to search for the origin and path of Chinese traditional theater. Collaborating with famous theater director LIN Zhuo-hua from Beijing People's Art Theatre, PEI Yan-ling presents Arts of Chinese Traditional Opera with a unique form of performing to showcase the essence of skills for a traditional theater artist. Pei considers this piece of work as the search for the origin and future path of her career on stage. Once the origin in the past is found, she believes, the path to the future will show. "All roads lead to Rome," she said. "But which one will you take? The development of the traditional theater may be diversified, but there ultimately exists a standard. You will have to find a path of your own." PEI Yan-ling She was born in Hebei Province in 1947. Pei started her career on stage playing the role of an elderly male character in Peking Opera. She has followed the instructions of many traditional theater masters, such as LI Chong- shuai, CUI Sheng-bin, KUO Jing-chun, HO Yong-kui and LI Shao-chun. Pei is known for her virtuosity in a wide variety of roles in both 'civilian' and 'martial' repertoires in Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera and Clapper Opera, and has been awarded with the China Federation of Literature Award and Wenhua Award. Pei has also won the Grand Prize of the Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Theater and the White Magnolia Award for Special Contribution to Theater Performing Arts. Danish director Eugenio Barba from the Odin Theater once commented, "We all love PEI Yan-ling;
