The Monthly Survey of Retail Sales (MRS) collects data for compiling retail sales statistics primarily intended to measure the sales receipts in respect of goods sold by local retail establishments, for gauging the short-term business performance of the local retail sector. 2. 零售业机构单位的分类是采用「香 港标准行业分类」.该行业分类用於各经 济统计调查,把经济单位拨归不同的行业 类别.为方便分析本地零售业短期的业务 表现,本报告内把零售行业,按个别组别 的重要性,组合成19个零售商类别. 2. The classification of retail establishments follows the Hong Kong Standard Industrial Classification (HSIC), which is used in various economic surveys for classifying economic units into different industry classes. To facilitate analysis of the short-term business performance of the local retail sector, the industry classes of the retail sector have been grouped into
